Summer Horse Camp

August 3rd to 7th - Beginner

We are pleased to announce that we will be holding several different Summer Horseback Riding Camps beginning in June 2009.  Our horse camps run from 10 AM to 3 PM.

This is a great opportunity to provide your children with a fun, educational activity during their break.

Our camps are open to children between the ages of 5 and 18.  Different sessions will focus on children that have never ridden to beginner riders to the more advanced rider.

Campers will learn:

How to catch, halter and lead your horse

The proper way to groom your horse

How to tack your horse prior to riding

How to safely work around horses

Basic riding skills will focus on balance and control

Riding (English and Western)

Basic horse care

Different breeds of horses

Basic training techniques

We will also offer activities such as:

Games on Horseback

Scavenger Hunts

Camp Fire Fun

Trail Rides

Fishing

Costume Contest

Congratulations to Kristin, Audrey, Mathew, Tannielle and Terisia for graduating our first session of horseback riding camp.  Everyone did a great job and we had a lot of fun.  To see pictures of our campers, please visit our horse camp page and  photo gallery.

We ask that all campers bring a sack lunch and drinks.

All campers are required to wear pants (jeans) and preferably boots (instead of sneakers).

Campers can register for the full week or by the day.

Registration and payment is required prior to the first day of camp.  A deposit in the amount of $50 will reserve your spot in our camp.

Our fee for this service is $275 for the full week or $60 for single day sessions.

Class size will be limited so please call or email today.

Our stable is conveniently located just 45 minutes North of Houston in Cleveland, Texas.

Our campers come from all over the Greater Houston area.
